Jamie Samford Featured Chef at Sur la Table Events for America's Second Harvest

America’s Second Harvest focuses on hunger relief each June – since the time of year when school is out is the time when young people among our nation’s poor have the greatest needs.  School lunch programs are gone, and the demands on the hunger relief system are high-pressure.

New this year, America’s Second Harvest will be hosting a special series of events to raise money for hunger relief.  Chef Jamie Samford will host a cooking class on Saturday, June 16 at 3 p.m. at Sur La Table’s Dallas location at 4527 Travis. 

Come join the class for a fabulous summer menu that includes:

  • Melon Salad, Pickled Red Onions, Aged Sherry Mint Vinaigrette, Crisp Serrano Jamon

  • Warm Crab Salad & Heirloom Tomato Napoleon with Creole Mustard Dressing

  • Black Pepper Seared Berkshire Pork Tenderloin, with Blueberry Maple Gastrique, Smashed New Potatoes, EVOO & Parmesan, and Southern Mustard Greens

  • Grilled Peaches, Passion Fruit Syrup and Cinnamon Basil Crème Fraiche
