Meet Nick Zotos
Winn Meat Company – Houston
Nick Zotos is a star recruit to the Winn Meat Company team in Houston. He brings a passion for food and fascination with the purveying side of the restaurant business that is a great addition to an already stellar Texas team.
Nick Zotos has served in leadership positions with such major food industry brands as Smith and Wollenksy and Buckhead Restaurant Group’s Chop’s Lobster Bar in Boca Raton and the Missouri Athletic Club. Along with leading Smith and Wollensky’s culinary teams in the Washington, DC and Houston markets, Nick was the star brand’s corporate trainer at locations all over the United States, including Miami, Las Vegas, DC, Columbus, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston and Boston. Nick also understands the purveyor side, having worked as the Houston sales manager for Brother’s Produce.
His passion for the food business started early in life with his work in his family’s Greek restaurant businesses in their native St. Louis, started by Nick’s grandfather when he immigrated to America from Greece. From there, his worldwide travels and work in the restaurant built a culinary career that has earned awards and recognition from Chaine de Rotisseurs and more.
“It’s so exciting to be a part of the dynamic Winn Meat Company team in Texas,” said Nick. “Beef and all proteins are taking center stage, as the steak house concepts is having a great influence on the marketplace with new twists on traditional menus. Meat and protein are the core of this movement.”
Nick and his wife Monica have a two-year-old daughter, Zoe. Nick enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and entertaining when he and Monica can try their own recipes out – testing their food innovations with sampling their new, from-scratch recipes with their friends at parties hosted in their home.
